Since 2016, the School of Urban Economics and Public Administration of CUEB, inspired by the mission of "Youth Serving the Nation," has partnered with Heba Village in Majiang County, Guizhou Province, to establish a practice base. Over the past decade, cohorts of faculty and students have made the journey year after year, measuring this land step by step.

Professor Pan Na first introduced the overall plan for the event to all attendees. This summer social practice program commenced on July 6 and will run through July 22, with phased activities including rural education support, thematic research, volunteer services, and achievement exchanges. From July 13 to 22, the team will focus on thematic tasks including the Heba Primary School Summer Session, the inauguration of the Heba · Liufeng Youth · Basketball Team, on-site research on rural culture-tourism-sports integration, the Fengxiang Dyeing intangible cultural heritage route, an agricultural science popularization and research route, the integrated development of Lanmeng Valley and Heba Village, and homestay promotion and cycling route development. From July 21 to 22, the team will present their findings in a centralized report.

Subsequently, SPDI, Longcharm Education, Velowind, and Olite Heavy Industry completed their donation ceremonies in sequence. In her speech, Dr. Wang Lina noted that SPDI has long focused on talent exchange between eastern and western regions, rural revitalization, and youth development. As the designated implementing institution for the "Prospect Plan Western Talent Project," it is dedicated to cultivating talent in public administration, corporate management, and rural revitalization for western China. Longcharm Education, meanwhile, centers on personal growth, career development, and international talent cultivation, offering diversified educational services including strategic planning consulting for education, specialized executive training, and global high-end study tours. She emphasized that this summer practice in Heba Village is not merely a simple philanthropic initiative, but a collaborative exploration connecting education, youth, rural communities, cultural tourism, and green and low-carbon practices.

Dr. Wang Lina encouraged students to go beyond mere "experience" and engage deeply in observation, listening, documentation, and co-creation. Designing a cycling route, conducting an interview, filming a video, or compiling a research note could all become new starting points for the cultural tourism development of Heba Village. She also reminded students to prioritize safety, strictly following the arrangements of their school teachers and team leaders during research, site visits, cycling experiences, and outdoor activities. She wished them a journey of curiosity, a practice of responsibility, and a safe return.

At the launch ceremony, Liang Xi, Co-founder and CEO of Velowind, expressed gratitude to CUEB and all partners for their trust, and extended best wishes to the students about to engage in rural practice. She noted that Heba Village is a demonstration village for the integrated development of intangible cultural heritage and tourism in Majiang County, endowed with the cultural richness of a traditional village and abundant natural resources. Velowind hopes to use this practice as a starting point to deeply integrate outdoor sports services with rural cultural tourism resources, exploring a verifiable, implementable, and sustainable new business model for the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism in Heba Village.

At the conclusion of the launch ceremony, Liu Zhiyong, Party Secretary of the School of Urban Economics and Public Administration, once again emphasized safety in his summary remarks and shared recent developments in Heba Village. He noted that Heba Village has made significant progress in infrastructure, specialty industries, intangible cultural heritage protection, and cultural tourism integration. He encouraged students to cherish this opportunity to immerse themselves in rural life, combine their professional knowledge with practice, observe attentively, explore with their feet, and contribute their wisdom, truly adding youthful energy to Heba Village's development.

In this event, SPDI, as co-organizer, participated deeply in the event's coordination, while Longcharm Education, as a major sponsor, provided strong support. Together, they connected educational resources, social resources, and youth creativity, fulfilling their social responsibility through concrete action. Dr. Wang Lina stated that SPDI, Longcharm Education, and the CCPAIIA are willing to continue working alongside CUEB and all partners in exploring youth development, rural revitalization, green and low-carbon initiatives, and new models for China's cultural tourism, doing things that are truly valuable, actionable, and sustainable over the long term.
