On June 15, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Government's Beijing Office and the Department of Commerce of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region jointly hosted the“Listed Companies Inner Mongolia Symposium and Matchmaking Meeting”in Hohhot. The event brought together more than 40 senior executives from domestic listed companies to engage in government–business exchanges and matchmaking in key areas such as new energy, new materials, green agricultural and livestock product processing, high‑end equipment manufacturing, and the digital economy. Zhao Mengda, CEO of Longcharm Group, attended the meeting as a corporate representative.

During the event, Bao Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Autonomous Region and Chairman of the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region, along with other regional leaders, participated in a reception session, listened to introductions from the participating enterprises, and exchanged views on deepening practical cooperation and facilitating project implementation. Other attending leaders included Dai Qin, Vice Chairman of the People’s Government of the Autonomous Region; Zheng Dongbo, Secretary‑General of the Government of the Autonomous Region; Wang Jinbao, Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology; Luo Qing, Director of the Department of Commerce; Cao Siyang, Director of the Energy Administration; Wu Suhai, Director of the Government Services and Data Management Bureau; Gao Jianhua, Director of the Beijing Office; He Haidong, Deputy Secretary of the Hohhot Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Hohhot; Huang Wenchuan, Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission; Hai Shan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry; and Shi Jianguo, Deputy Director of the Beijing Office. In his speech, Chairman Bao Gang outlined the basic situation, geographical advantages, and resource endowments of Inner Mongolia.

In his speech, Bao Gang noted that Inner Mongolia is located along China's northern frontier, covering a total area of 1.183 million square kilometers, accounting for 12.3% of the country's land area. It borders Russia and Mongolia externally and connects eight provinces internally, serving as an important fulcrum for the Belt and Road Initiative, a key radiation area for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and a significant area for ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. In terms of national strategic positioning, Inner Mongolia undertakes the important mission of the "two barriers" (the key ecological security barrier in the north and the security and stability barrier in the northern frontier), the "two bases" (the national key base of energy and strategic resources and the national key production base of agricultural and livestock products), and the "one bridgehead" (the key bridgehead for China's northward opening-up). Bao Gang also introduced that Inner Mongolia is rich in resources, with the proven reserves of 20 types of minerals—including coal, lead, zinc, silver, and rare earth elements—ranking first in the country. The region ranks first in wind energy resources and second in solar energy resources nationwide, with 15 indicators, including installed capacity of new energy, power generation, and outbound electricity transmission, ranking first in the country. Inner Mongolia is also one of China's five major pastoral areas and one of the thirteen major grain-producing areas, with diverse natural landscapes and abundant tourism resources. Based on its resource endowments and comparative advantages, Inner Mongolia is advancing the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, fostering the development of emerging industries, and proactively planning for future industries in a coordinated manner. It is focusing on building ten major key industrial clusters, including new materials, advanced chemicals, modern equipment manufacturing, green agricultural and livestock product processing, and the digital economy, and accelerating the development of a modern industrial system that reflects the region's distinctive strengths and advantages.

Representatives of participating enterprises introduced their core businesses, industrial layouts, and areas of interest for cooperation in Inner Mongolia. Zhao Mengda focused on opportunities in energy resources, green and low‑carbon industries, modern industrial system development, and opening‑up cooperation, and expressed Longcharm Group’s commitment to leveraging its international resource integration and industrial investment capabilities to support high‑quality regional development.

After the symposium, the delegation visited various industrial parks and key projects to conduct on‑site inspections, gaining firsthand insights into local resource endowments, industrial foundations, and the business environment. It is learned that the Department of Commerce of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will continue to play its coordinating role in investment promotion, working with industry lead departments and external offices to jointly attract and facilitate the landing of more high‑quality, technology‑intensive, and growth‑driven projects.
